Introduction

Tarot does not dictate the future it just reveals the direction in which we are currently heading. The future is always subject to change and is entirely reliant on the actions and decision made by the person being read for. Tarot reflects the understanding and therefore the control we have over ourselves, our feelings and our life situations. They guide us not necessarily to make the "right" decision but to make the "informed" one. They drive us to look at people and situations from different angles or perspectives, and to gain empathy where it may not have existed before. In each card there is an inherent message and lesson, they contain knowledge that benefits the Subject if they can understand its true relevance in the here and now. This is why the ability to read Tarot is powerful, not because it portends the future, or because were psychic but because it aids self-development, awareness and an understanding of self that might otherwise escape us.
